GFWC Florida Partner Spotlight: Shot@Life

The United Nations Shot@Life Campaign is a movement to protect children worldwide by providing life-saving vaccines where they are most needed. Polio is a crippling disease that still wreaks havoc in some of the most difficult parts of the world. Polio is now endemic in just three countries –Nigeria, Pakistan and Afghanistan. This coming Friday, October 24 is World Polio Day and now is a critical period in the fight against this terrifying disease. Since 1988, polio cases worldwide have been reduced by 99 percent. We need to come together and change the face of history.We know what needs to be done to stop polio and now we need you. It costs just $1 to vaccinate a child against polio.
